Lanarkshire’s Apprentice of the Year

This award is open to all Lanarkshire businesses to nominate an outstanding Apprentice that the business is currently training or has been employed and recently completed their Apprenticeship within the last year.

An apprentice is defined as a member of your staff who is training while they earn, and is working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

If your business can nominate an outstanding apprentice who demonstrates some or all of the following:

• dedication and high level of skills;
• commitment to personal development;
• significant contribution to the business and / or sector; and
• has gone above or beyond the role

then this award is for you and your Apprentice.

Please tell us why your Apprentice should win the Lanarkshire’s Apprentice of the Year award by completing the following questions.

Company Nominator please complete Q1 – 3

i. Clearly explain your reason for nominating your apprentice and why you think they should be Lanarkshire’s apprentice of the year? (200 words max)

ii. Explain how your apprentice has made a significant contribution to your business and/or the sector and has demonstrated added value? (250 words max)

iii. Please outline where your apprentice has gone above and beyond their role for the business? (200 words max)

Apprentice please complete Q 4 & 5

iv. Please explain your apprenticeship journey, e.g what you were doing prior to starting your apprenticeship, skills, qualifications and/or any training obtained during it? (150 words max)

v. Tell us why you think you should be Lanarkshire’s apprentice of the year, include any milestones and/or achievements during your apprenticeship journey? (200 words max)
